Christmas 2010 - Tuesday

The Tuesday after Christmas was very fun. Khara and Tim, Timmy, and Abbey came down so we had our Christmas with them, Kent, Ashley, and Ava that evening.
It's so much fun to be an aunt... especially around Christmas time!

Timmy (5), Abbey (7), Ava (2)
Aren't they cute?!?!!!

Ava was so sweet while she was opening her gifts! Kent and Ashley would tell her who it was from and she would always tell them Thank You!

'Issa gave her a pretty black and red dress.
I gave her a Toy Story 3 coloring book and crayons.
Kaitlyn gave her a puzzle.
She also got assorted doll toys and a Veggie Tales movie - Jonah - from Nana and Pappy.

A big one :) This was an easel from Kent. One side was for dry erase crayons and magnets and the other side was a chalk board. Kent ordered it while he was still in Iraq so he had it shipped to our house, and Karissa wrapped it for him so that Ava wouldn't see it right when she got here! She had a lot of fun on that all week! But when it came time for Kent, Ashley and Ava to go home, there wasn't enough room in the car for it! So it had to mailed to her later on.

Timmy opening his gifts. In this picture he has the Disney Cars coloring book and crayons that I gave him.
He also got a Veggie Tales Movie - Sheer Luck Holmes - from Nana and Pappy.

A Cars matching game from Kaitlyn.

Shirts from Issa. Ava calls Karissa 'Issa, and it just kinda stuck! The yellow box is a R/C car from Uncle Kent.

Matchbox cars from Kaleb.

Karissa was excited about Abbey's gift. She bought Katrina and Abbey the same red sweaters. They came with these cute little white scarves that had a red heart at each end. Katrina wore hers that day just so she could show Abbey they matched when Abbey opened her gift.

Play-Doh Toys! She also got Play-Doh to go with that.
Mom and Dad also gave Abbey a doll baby pack 'n' play and a Veggie Tales DVD.
Katrina gave her a necklace and I gave Abbey a Cinderella coloring book and crayons.

Ava with her 'puter and her 'Issa. It's not actually a computer that just what she called it. It's actually an iXL that Kent got her. It was suppose to look like a book. Inside it had a touch screen on one side and a speaker and volume buttons on the other side. It's a learning toy. Kent got the Toy Story 3 games that go on it. It had coloring games, the alphabet song and a bunch of neat little things that help little kids learn the basics.

Katrina got a grey  Aeropostale sweatshirt from Khara and Tim. We said this was Katrina's year for grey because she also a grey blanket and grey slippers from Mom and Dad on Christmas Day.

From Kent, each of us got a framed drawing of our name! He put something on each one that was personal to that person: Kaleb's a green and yellow because his room is done in John Deere. He also wrote "Balad Iraq 2010" on each one so we could remember where he was when he drew them. Khara and Tim gave Kaleb a Wireless60. It's pretty much a generic Wii.

Kaitlyn's name was colored sort of like tie-dye, the 'K" was pink camo (like her room) and there's a big, yellow, smiley face in the background! Kent also gave each of us a $25 Visa gift card. ;-)

Khara and Tim gave Kaitlyn a red  Aero sweatshirt just like Katrina's. We caught her with her eyes closed here - oops!

Timmy watching Khara help Ava use her iXL.

This is my sweatshirt from Khara and Tim. My favorite color!!! Sorry about the awful face  : \

And my frame from Kent!!! I was so thrilled with this! I've been asking him to draw me something for ages. Mine had zebra stripes in the background and animal prints in each letter (my room is done in zebra's and giraffes). The "Y" has a tree, an elephant, and a sunset in it! Abbey said, "It looks like a Safari."

Karissa's name frame and gift card from Kent. Her's has pink came in the background and the white part of the came spells U S A! Her name isn't solid blue either; it's sort like a maze only it's not a real maze!

Karissa's cream sweatshirt from Khara and Tim.
We normally don't dress down this much for church, but each of us 4 girls wore our matching sweatshirts to church Wednesday night :)

Mom and Dad gave Ashley a griddle.

Kent gave Ashley the red Wii! And a game to go with it!

A DCL (Deep Creek Lake) sweatshirt from Kaleb and Karissa.

A rice-cooker from Mom and Dad :)

A Steelers shirt from me :)...

Timmy helped Khara open some of her gifts. I think that's a gift card! Not sure who it's from....

A vest and red shirt from Karissa, Kaleb, Katrina, and I. Kaitlyn got her another shirt.

Khara told Mom she needed  dish towels.....

Card and gift card from Kent.

Khara just gave away Tim K.'s present! Karissa and Mom got Tim Krivosh Southpole shirts. Mom got him a white one (below) and Karissa got him a plain red one (just like the blue one he's wearing). He opened the white one first. He was like, "I almost got this one"! Khara said, "Now you know why I wouldn't let you get the white one or the red one." --- He hadn't opened the red one yet!!!

Dad's black sweater vest from Khara and Tim.
After he opened that and started opening the next one, Dad asked why they got him two things.
Khara was like, "well, they go together... Oh shoot!!!!" She gave it away again. It'd been a long day!!!

This is the shirt that "went with" his vest. Tim was sure Dad wouldn't like the color and Khara thought he would. So the first thing Dad says when he opens the shirt is, "that's a neat color"!!!

Mom loved her gift from Khara and Tim: a photo book. Khara had some family pictures taken recently and made a whole book out of them for mom. She dressed it up with swirls and flourishes and pattern paper! It was really cute. :)

The same photographer that took Khara and Tim's wedding pictures, took these too. He does a really good job.

Ashley, Kent, and Ava (a little bit distracted!)

~~~
The rest of the evening the kids played with all the gifts.
Ava's easel from Daddy.
Timmy's R/C car from Kent.
Pappy helped Timmy put his dirt bike Lego's  together. It's a tradition; Pappy always helps somebody put a Lego set together around Christmas! He helped Kent and Kaleb and now Timmy!
Abbey and Ava both got things to go with their dolls.
Kaitlyn and Kaleb trying to set up his Wireless60.
Kimber!! He was tied outside most of the evening. But he came in once to get warmed up a little. You can tell he loves Tim, but he's Khara's baby!
He has grown SO much since June! He was just a cuddly little puppy then.
This is Ava's Elephant/Butterfly game. I don't remember what it's really called! there's a fan in the bottom of the elephant that blows little paper butterflies up through the trunk and the kids were suppose to catch them with little nets... like the one Ava's holding.
Kent and Ashley showed Ava how to work her iXL. Ava is so sharp though; she had that thing down-pat in a few days!
