Christmas 2010 - Friday

The week after Christmas, most of the people in the house came down with real bad colds: Ava, Kent, Ashley, Mom, Kaitlyn, pretty much everybody... except me and Dad.
Usually, when A. Bonnie and U. Paul come, we all try to go around and visit the great-aunts (well our great-aunts, just "Aunts" to Dad, U. Paul, & A. Bonnie). So many of them are in bad health right now, that we didn't think it would be very wise to spread the colds. So Uncle Paul, Briana, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Bob, and I went to visit Aunt Jane, Aunt Carrie & Eddie, and Aunt Mag. Uncle Bob got pictures; unfortunately I didn't. I only got one picture... of A. Bonnie and A. Mag - and we just got a call saying that Aunt Mag passed away this afternoon...

At home that afternoon:
Ava and Katrina went outside to play in the snow.

Silly girl :)

Ava looks pretty in pink! !

Doesn't she look cute with her hair braided??!!

...Aunt Kessy did it :)

Ava calls braids her "princess hair"

She really enjoyed Katrina's play-doh!

Ava had little, colorful rocks, so she'd roll out her play-doh and arrange the rock to make a smiley face :)
She had 2 for the eyes, one for the nose, and 2 for the lips!

Kent and Kaleb on Kaleb's flight simulator.

And that was Friday...

Christmas 2010 - Thursday

We didn't really do anything the Wednesday after Christmas. We took Ava to church with us while Kent and Ashley wrapped gifts and I painted Ava's nails. This is the only picture we have from that day. After that I'll move right on to Thursday.

Ava loves to have her nails painted! They're so little, it doesn't take anytime at all. She holds real still and then blows them (to dry them) when your're done :)

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Thursday was the big day! We had the whole Wagner Family Christmas that day!! It was so crowded in our living room, it was crazy. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have Amber, Philip, Evan, and Aaron there.
Mom made breakfast, and who ever wanted that came over first thing in the morning. The rest trickled in slowly. We started opening right after breakfast was cleared away.
Ava didn't fully wake up right away!

Painting Briana's nails

Kent and Ashley went on a sleigh ride and bought Ava a little train that formed her name at the gift shop. They want to get her pictures taken with it.

We started opening gifts with the youngest. Katrina had Ava's name and got her a Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head! Unlike on Toy Story 3, this Mrs. Potato Head didn't have quite 30 accessories!

Waiting patiently!

Timmy got John Deere tractors...

Kaitlyn had Abbey's name and she got Abbey baby doll clothes, a blanket, and stuff to use with the baby doll  Abbey got for her birthday.

Katrina got lots of a crafty things - beads, glitter glue, little colored popcicle stick, and stuff...

Uncle Paul got Kaleb a much-needed John Deere sweatshirt. His other one was really really small!

Jenna had Kaitlyn's name. Gift card, Bath & Body Works lotion, Bob's candy canes ... Jenna did good!

I had Briana's name. She likes cooking, coloring, and cosmetics, so I got her a cooking/cupcake/cake decorating... thing, a Disney Princess coloring book, a Winnie-the-Pooh & Tigger coloring, and nail polish!

The living room was so crowded! :)

Sorry about the face... I don't take a good picture. Melissa had my name. She got my that beautiful purple sweater, Bath & Body Works lotion, and Bob's Candy Canes!

An Aeropostale sweatshirt for Melissa :)

Silver hoop earrings for Karissa. Ava helped tear off the wrapping paper... cute little helper!

Gift card for Jenna

Mom got Ashley an electric cookie press.

Kent got a Steelers shirt!

Ava loves her Daddy!!

Khara can go shopping! Another gift card!!

...and Tim can go shopping with her!

We got this package delivered to us while Kent was in Iraq and the return address was in China! We called Kent and he was like, oh that's Uncle Paul's Christmas present. Kent called U. Paul and found out who his favorite Steelers player was... Apparently it's somebody named Swann! He was pleased with his gift!

Dad got a gift card and a magnetic bowl. You can like put screws and stuff in it and they wont fall out.

Just what Mom wanted! Another crock-pot!

Karissa had Aunt Bonnie's name. I think she got her a candle as well as the brown sweater.

Gift cards everywhere! Here's one for Uncle Bob :)

Tim let Briana try out her new nail polish on him! He took it off right away...

Awww ;)

Ava loves her 'Issa!!!!! She's so fun :)

Play time... :)
Abbey, Briana, and Kaitlyn coloring; Katrina playing with her new crafty... things!

Reading Ava's coloring book. It has coloring pictures, but it also has the whole (condensed!) version of Toy Story 3.

Kent showed us all the pictures he took in Iraq (at Balad... his base) and in Ireland during his trip.

Handsome man!

Still looking at pictures...

Still reading the coloring book!!

Mom loves using her phaltzgraph dishes! She had enough place settings for all 20 people and plenty of serving  dishes too!

Timmy, Aunt Karissa, and Abbey playing Trouble. That was Grandma Wagner and Pappy's game! I remember playing it on Sunday afternoons when we went to their house! We went to their house (which is now our house) every Sunday afternoon for... as long as I can remember (until Pappy was put in the hospital that is; he got pancreatitis very suddenly). Trouble and Cross Over the Bridge are two specific games I remember playing at their house :)

We did the food buffet style... It obviously wouldn't have fit on the table where everyone was eating! There's another table directly behind where Katrina, Abbey, and Khara are standing that a few of us sat at. The regular kitchen table held the rest!

Cousins!!!!

I love this picture!

Karissa decided that she would make several kinds of fudge this year instead of several kinds of cookies. She still made several kinds of cookies, but this is the first year she's made fudge. She made oatmeal sandwich cookies, snickers cookies (the church threw dad a 50th, snickers birthday party - in October - and he got like 200 or so Snickers bars, so Karissa chopped them up and used them instead of chocolate chips), mint chocolate chip cookies, regular chocolate chip cookies, and lemon cookies. And she made peanut butter, chocolate, orange cream, lemon, and butter nut fudge! The orange was the best.
See those ice cream buckets towards to right? She made enough oatmeal sandwich cookies (which people have told her are better than Little Debbie's) to fill six of those!!!

I am so not photogenic! But Kayah was actually sitting still on my lap and letting me pet her, so we had to get a picture of that!

We were gonna have turkey for lunch, so mom put it in the roaster that morning. Unfortunately, she forgot to plug the roaster in!!! She was proud of herself for not lifting the lid to check on it every ten minutes, but it probably wouldn't have been a bad thing that day! We had two leftover hams from... some day before Thursday (don't remember right now!!!) So we just re-heated that, and there was plenty.

Me and My Dad!!
