Christmas Banquet

On December 3rd, a bunch of the teens from our church went to Penn Alps Restaurant for a Christmas Banquet.
mom took this picture before we left
I like being at the banquet ... I hate the "getting ready" process

Everyone!
(back row, l-r) Abigail Jones, Joanna Jones, Sarah Wissinger (Abigail's friend), Elizabeth King, Kaitlyn, Katie  Petersheim (Elizabeth's friend), me, Karissa, 'Keisha Liller (Jones' friend), and Priscilla.
(front row, l-r) Micaiah Jones, Michael and Philip King, Jeremias Geisler, and Kaleb

We had a nice little room all to ourselves with a buffet right around the corner.
Priscilla went out to get some food and a little boy jumped off his chair and said "There's a princess"!!!!!!

Penn Alps was having their Christmas in the Village weekend, so all the little buildings outside the restaurant were decorated for Christmas. After we finished our meal, we went and walked through the "village" :)

We all decided that this was the prettiest doorway in the village!

Pastor and Mrs. Lisa with Bro. Aaron Trigg.
Pastor asked Bro. Trigg to be the speaker at our banquet.
He gave a short message about purity.
...And, as you can see, he's got quite the sense of humor!!

Finals and Cabinets

I've finished 2 finals (Biology yesterday and English this morning) and have 2 still to go (Psychology this evening and speech tomorrow). After that I'll be finished until January 24th!
I also had bio lab and sociology this semester but lab final was last week and I was given the option of not taking the sociology final if I was pleased with my current grade (which I am) because the lowest test grade will be dropped (and if the final grade is 0, then it'll definitely be the lowest!).
Next semester I'm taking human growth and development (aka psych 102), college algebra, microbiology, and music appreciation.
In between now and next semester, I'll be finishing up my medical transcription course, and hopefully I can get a job with that next summer.

The kitchen cabinets are being put in this week. They're beautiful against the newly painted green walls :) One of the cabinets got missed on the order, so we're one short for a while, but the counter tops should be here this weekend. The tiling should be sometime next week, I think. So everything's coming together. Whenever I walked into the kitchen, I feel like I'm in someone else's house! Mom says it looks like something out of a magazine :) I think it looks really good so far and we're all getting eager for the project to be finished!!

Earn $$$ by searching

Did you know there's a way to earn money by searching the web?
There's a site that rewards points for searching the web (not every search.... it's random) and the points can be redeemed for prizes.
There is a limited selection of merchandise, but there's also gift cards to places like amazon.
If you'd like an account, email me by clicking >here< and I'll send you a referral.
ALSO! If you then refer others, you earn points when they do :)

Kitchen Renovation

Lots of things have changed in a few weeks!

Mark and Ronnie (under the sink) take the cabinets out

no more cabinets... they'll be dad's future work bench!

cutting holes in the wall

doesn't look like the same room :)

The only kitchen things left in the room are the table and 'fridge.

they tore the old bedroom ceiling out and put new dry wall up to make it even with the kitchen ceiling.

there will be pantry cabinets right where that piece on the ceiling is.

the new ceiling

The new cabinets are set to be delivered next Friday and the walls are scheduled to be painted next weekend!!!! Exciting progress :)
