No Pay For Congress

The “No Budget, No Pay Act” would require members of Congress to forgo pay for every day after October 1 that they don’t adopt a budget and pass all of its spending bills.  Once members approved a spending plan and appropriated the money, they would start receiving paychecks again but couldn’t collect any retroactive pay.  The premise is simple: don’t do your job and you don’t get paid.

Simple enough? That's the way it is for regular citizens.

If this [treaty] were to pass, CRPD would become the law of the land under the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause, and would trump state laws, and could be used as precedent by state and federal judges. This treaty would give the government, acting under U.N. instructions, the ability to determine for all children with disabilities what is best for them. It also would give the U.N. discretion over decisions about how we educate our special needs kids, and could potentially eliminate parental rights for the education of children with disabilities.

Pictures by the Lake

Sunday was mom's birthday and what did she want?
She wanted to takes pictures of the 5 of us!!
It was a little sunnier than we thought so some were kinda squinting in a few of them ... and it was windy.

We found this really beautiful spot by the lake ... the scenery was gorgeous. I loved it.

Mom even got her turn on the other side of the lens :)

Chemistry

Reading the chemistry review chapter in my anatomy and physiology brought back memories of my high school chemistry course. I loved chemistry ... and this video is probably one of the reasons why!!

Learn the periodic table of elements the fun way!! IF you can!!!!
Aristotle's version, perhaps, is easier, yes?!

Got Chemistry down?
Good!
Next time we'll do math!

3rd Semester

I started my 2 Anatomy and Physiology classes at Garrett this week - A&P I, A&P I Lab, A&P II, and A&P II Lab.

I was suppose to have this wonderful lady for my teacher for all of the above...
...Unfortunately, she will be unable to teach this semester and has turned her classes over other faculty science teachers.

Kelley Flaherty will be teaching both lecture and lab for A&P I.

This is "Dr. D." (Colonel James Damato), who was my microbiology professor last semester, is teaching my A&P II lecture. He is not, however, teaching lab for this course...
My lab instructor is:
"Amo" (Anthony M. Oliverio). He was my lab instructor for my general bio class last fall during my first semester. He's great... despite the fact that he likes reptiles around his neck!

I'm glad these are going to be my only classes because I think I'll have enough with just them!
I will miss Mrs. Deniker very very much though :(
